The St. Andrew the Apostle School Musical Theater Program provides students with a unique opportunity to discover their talents, build confidence, and experience the excitement of live performance. Open to students in grades 4-7, the program is one of the most anticipated and rewarding extracurricular experiences offered at SAS.
This year, our talented performers brought beloved productions to life with Annie Kids in the winter and Frozen Kids in the spring. Through months of rehearsals, students developed their skills in singing, acting, and dancing while learning the value of teamwork, dedication, and perseverance. Their hard work culminated in four performances of each production, drawing packed audiences of family, friends, and community members.
What makes the SAS Musical Theater Program especially unique is that students can explore both on-stage and behind-the-scenes roles. In addition to performing, students have the opportunity to learn about set design, sound and lighting production, special effects, and stage management. This hands-on experience allows students to develop a wide range of creative and technical skills while discovering new interests and talents.
There is nothing quite like watching our students take the stage with confidence as their personalities shine through in every song, dance, and scene. Parents are often amazed by the growth they see in their children—from increased self-confidence and public speaking skills to stronger friendships and leadership abilities.
At SAS, our Musical Theater Program is about much more than putting on a show. It is about inspiring creativity, fostering collaboration, and giving students an artistic outlet where they can express themselves, challenge themselves, and create memories that will last a lifetime.
